Obedience Dog of 2010
The American Obedience Dog
of 2010 is
an annual competition.
ALL DOGS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE ANNUAL COMPETITION BEFORE
1 NOVEMBER 2010.
The Competition closes on 5 January the following year. Wins from any month
will be accepted before closing date of the competition.
ENTRY FEES
The Annual Entry Fee- Free for 2010. Entrants
must agree to the Terms and Conditions of entry before being accepted into the
competition. Entries will be confirmed by email.
REGISTRATION
Each entrant must register online providing a photo of the dog (must be jpg
attachment) to be included in the competition, and provide the following
details-
• Breed
• Sex
• Dogs name and title
• Dog AKC
Registration Number (or equivalent)
• Dogs date of birth
• Owners Name
• Owners address (must include
country and state)
• Owners Phone Number
• Owners Email address
• Sire and Dam of the Dog
•
Division where the dog is mainly trialed and resides
The entrant provides surety to Showdogs (our Business) that they own the entrant. If the
entrant is jointly owned, the entrant provides surety to Showdogs
that they have the authority/agreement with the co-owner/s to enter the dog
in this competition.
ELIGIBILITY
1.
To be eligible for
the American Obedience Dog Competition, all dogs must be registered with the
American Kennel Club and reside in and be trialled in America during the time period.
2.
The time period for
the American Obedience Dog of 2010 means between 1/1/2010
and 31/12/2010. Final submissions for
the American Obedience Dog of 2010 close on 5 January the following year.
3.
The American Obedience Dog of 2010 competition is for the whole of the USA.
If enough entries are received, it will also be divided into 13 Divisions (as per the
American Kennel Club Schedule- see below).
4.
In that case, a dog shall be deemed to be entered
under the Division for which they have submitted the most awards (not the most
points).
5.
All Competitors compete for The American Obedience Dog
of 2010. The
dog with the highest overall points wins the American Obedience Dog of 2010 award.
6. In the case of a draw, the highest number of 1st Place awards will win. If outright winners are still not achieved, the most 1st
and 2nd Place awards, then most 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place awards,
and down the table until a winner can be declared.
POINTS
1.
For the American Obedience Dog of 2010 Competition,
points will apply only for events licensed by the AKC or held by an AKC Member
Club and held between 1/1/2010 and
31/12/2010.
2.
Entrants
can submit all awards gained in each class and at each level of competition
(e.g. High In Trial, 1 x Place & Qualifying, 1 x Place & Qualifying, or
Qualifying only).

The American
Obedience Dog of the Year entrants can claim additional points when their dog
gains a title during the time period. Proof via a copy of the certificate
(including date) must be received by closing date to be included in the 2010 Competition. Please email evidence of this to judy@showdogs.com.au.
LEADERBOARDS
The leaderboard
for the American Obedience Dog of 2010 will be published as soon as wins are
submitted.
Any discrepancies/disputed wins will be checked with the entrant, and
entrants may be required to provide proof of their win via notification from
the Secretary of the Show. If proof is not provided and/or the dispute resolved
by the close of the month, the win shall not be counted. No correspondence
shall be entered into.
